Boiler repairs in Wakefield and Leeds

Need a boiler repair in Wakefield, Leeds or a nearby town? A Gas Safe engineer can investigate pressure loss, leaks, noises and lockouts. Call 01924 928115.

No heating or hot water

A boiler that stops heating your home or producing hot water needs a clear diagnosis. The cause may involve the boiler, its controls or another part of the heating system, so the symptom alone does not identify the repair. Tell us whether both heating and hot water are affected, what the display shows and whether anything changed before the problem began.

Our boiler servicing and repairs service covers Wakefield, Leeds, Barnsley, Pontefract, Castleford and Normanton. UltraOne's Gas Safe registration is 579943. Gas work must be carried out by a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered engineer.

Low pressure, noises, leaks and lockout

Repeated low pressure can have several causes, including a leak elsewhere in the system. Unusual noises can also come from different components and should be assessed in context. If you can see water leaking, note where it appears without removing the boiler casing or trying to reach internal parts.

A lockout means the boiler has stopped operating because its controls have detected a problem. Record any fault code and check the manufacturer's user instructions; avoid repeatedly resetting a boiler that keeps stopping. These details help us understand what to investigate, but a fault code alone is not a confirmed diagnosis.

What happens during a repair visit

The engineer asks about the fault and checks the appliance and relevant parts of the heating system. Tests follow the symptoms and the manufacturer's guidance so the cause can be established before repair options are explained. Access to the boiler, its controls and any relevant service records helps with that assessment.

We explain the findings and any proposed work, including whether parts are required, before proceeding. Repair costs depend on the diagnosed fault and the work agreed. Where an older appliance needs significant work, you can also discuss boiler replacement to understand your options.

Arrange a boiler assessment

Use our quote and enquiry form to send your contact details, boiler make and model, symptoms and any displayed fault code. Photos can help show the appliance and installation area. An annual service supports ongoing boiler maintenance, but a known operating fault should be discussed as a repair rather than left for a routine service.

Common questions

What should I do if my boiler stops working?

Note any fault code and check the thermostat, programmer and power supply using the manufacturer's user instructions. Do not remove the casing or repeatedly reset a boiler that keeps stopping. Contact a qualified engineer to investigate; a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered engineer must do gas work. If you suspect a gas leak or carbon monoxide, stop using the appliance, move to a safe place and contact the gas emergency service.

Why has my boiler lost pressure?

Pressure loss can result from a system leak, recent radiator bleeding or a fault with components such as the expansion vessel or pressure relief valve. Follow the manufacturer's user instructions and arrange an assessment if pressure keeps falling; topping up alone does not resolve the cause.

Can you repair any make of boiler?

We assess repairs according to the boiler's make, model, condition and parts availability. We will always try to repair your boiler first, and if a repair is not possible we can give you a free, no-obligation quote for a new boiler. Send us the make, model and symptoms so we can confirm whether we can help.
